Antoni Tàpies i Puig, Marquisate of Tàpies (Barcelona, December 13, 1923 – February 6, 2012) was a painter, sculptor and theorist of Catalan art. He was one of the main advocates of informalism and is considered one of the most prominent Catalan artists of the 20th century.
